My first, and only time I have seen a pygmy owl was in the coast range. yes,
hard to see. I saw something that looked unusual near the top of a dead tree,
and it wasn’t till I took a photo of it with my 42 times zoom lens that I could
zoom the photo in and say “oh, that’s an owl”. Loren
