Here’s something fun to take our minds off invasive rodents of the northern
Great Basin.
It has been about five years since we predicted Oregon’s next new bird. The
following species have not been accepted to the Oregon list and are not
currently under review by the OBRC. Please send me your votes as to which you
think are the next most likely to occur in Oregon.
Use a five-point system and vote ONLY for five. 5 points for the MOST likely,
four for the next most likely and so on. I will compile the results around
February 1 and post them, along with a short report on how well we did in our
2011 predictions.
If you want to include comments on why you think certain species are likely,
I’ll include those in the summary.
You can “write in” any other species you like and score it.
