This is why I think what we have here is good. If I had written a less
active state list, probably no one would have bothered to point out that
there were issues with the list at all.
We don't have to be super prideful about it--we might want to consider
other subscribers a little more when posting at times--but we should be
appreciative that we have this largely unique network for the sharing of
bird information, especially considering our state's size.

Those modes aren’t helpful.
Folks who are on the inside should beware of self-congratulation. Yes,
those who are “in” like it, but we don’t hear from those who “left.” OBOL
does not comprise the whole of Oregon birders/bird enthusiasts.
