The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife quickly got back to me on
Falconer permits.
- For the last season (2020-21), 58 permits were issued and 24 wild birds
taken, the majority being Redtail Hawks.
- The current Oregon take limit for Gyrfalcons is three per year.
- The most recent Oregon wild Gyrfalcon take occurred January 8, 2018.
- The total Oregon wild Gyrfalcon take in the past 10 years has been two
individuals.
