Want to be part of Oregon ornithological history? Come join the Oregon 2020
birding blitzes. We have 5 of them scheduled over the next 2 months.
Blitzes are fun. We break into teams and visit the Oregon 2020 hotspot squares
within a county. We count birds in 3-5 squares during a morning, then wander
the county looking for interesting birds for the rest of the day. At the end of
the day (usually Saturday) we get together and share stories of what we found.
You can join us for one or more days of each blitz.
Blitzes are great for exploring places you have never been, finding interesting
and unusual birds in unexpected places, and enjoying the cameraderie of birding
while contributing to an important legacy.
Blitzes this year are in Jackson, Hood River, Tillamook, Umatilla and Jefferson
Counties.
