Hi John, I saw the same bird yesterday. I saw enough of the wing and bill
to see that it is a GWTE but possibly partially leucistic. It was
associating with other GWTE the whole time I watched it.

Hey John - could it be a molting Green-winged Teal, with maybe a slight
pigment deficiency? I photographed a somewhat similar GWTE last October. It
struck me as oddly pale, and rather cinnamon-y in the field, kind of akin
to your bird. Just my two cents and a cool looking duck either way.

I'm looking for opinions on an odd teal seen at Fernhill Wetlands this
morning. I listed them as a Cinnamon Teal, but the bird is either leucistic
or going through a brutal molt. Pictures on eBird list
