Newport birds
Birded most of the day in and around Newport.
Killdeer and American Pipits are still in evidence, but in much smaller
numbers than yesterday. Ditto meadowlarks.
Drake Barrow's Goldeneye was feeding near the fishing pier behind Rogue
Brewery. I could not find the hybrid goldeneye.
At the LNG Plant the 16 White-fronted Geese were present, but the Snow Goose
was absent.
At Yaquina Head:
Western Bluebird 3
American Pipit 75
Peregrine Falcon 1
Northern Harrier 1
Bald Eagle 3A 1IMM
Killdeer 8
Varied Thrush 5
Harlequin Duck 6
Common Murre 2500
Did not check for the eider.
