I saw three birds at Pixieland, across the river on logs in the mud, flying to the middle to pick at the moss on a log, then back to the bank. Too far to get really good looks (didn't have my scope along), but their markings reminded me of American Pipits - my impression of their behavior was like Song Sparrows. I wasn't able to try to get a better angle before they moved on. Two truly terrible pix here: http://www.birdfellow.com/photos/thumbnails/267-mystery-birds?id=10607 http://www.birdfellow.com/photos/thumbnails/267-mystery-birds?id=10608 Any assistance appreciated. dawn v Lincoln City/Nelscott Blogging About the Coast dvillabirds.blogspot.com Sometimes things come when you stop looking
