Peyton, I don't believe there has been any confirmation of Black Phoebe's
ever nesting in Multnomah County but I welcome being corrected if someone
did observe a nest, or even better, a successful attempt at breeding. They
were present for a couple of years at Whitaker Ponds and nesting was
suspected but I don't believe was ever confirmed. Then a severe cold snap
3 years ago seemed to eliminate the population and they are only now
starting to be found in the county again.
