I agree with you that Mt. Talbert is a fabulous place to bird,
particularly in the spring. I have spent a lot of time there over the
past 15 years or so. I primarily spend my time on the south side of
the butte when I bird it. The warbler flocks tend to move upslope as
the morning goes by. If you are birding there in late morning or
early afternoon you can generally find the warbler flocks high in the
canopy on the north side of the butte. It is a great place to find
Nashville Warblers in the spring. Most of my previous reports there
are in BirdNotes.
