Looking at the USGS banding lab's longevity list it appears they only list
birds whose bands were returned after death. The chances of 292V's band being
recovered after death are not great and it therefore may never appear on this
list. It seems to me there should be a way of tracking still live birds whose
bands are clearly shown in pictures.

this goose was featured in the NW Permit Zone Goose Hunting Identification
Guide in 1995 or earlier.

The bird was collared in Salem in June 1992 (!) as an adult which means it
