If I am seeing the left band correctly, it appears to be B/V/B, and the
right is Orange. This is a hatch year 2018 bird from Tenmile Coos
Cty. The other bird is obviously unbanded.
Since we are on the topic, it might interest a few to know that 2018 is
turning out to be the second best Snowy Plover productivity year since
we began monitoring in 1990. We have surpassed 300 known fledglings,
only the second time we have hit 300. Sometimes hard to believe we
used to be happy if we got 30, only 20 years ago. We have more adult
plovers at one site than there were on the entire coast in 1990- thru
the end of that decade.
