*SAS Minto-Brown Island Park Scouting Trip Report*
On Wednesday, Fred scouted Minto-Brown Island Park in preparation for our
Salem Audubon bird walk on *Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:00 a.m*. Fred covered
a good portion of the park as he walked nearly five (5) miles. It was a
very nice morning with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. The bird activity
good as Fred observed (seen or heard) of 40 species.
One of the key highlights was the warblers observed. Fred observed
Orange-crowned Warblers, Common Yellowthroat and five Black-throated Gray
Warblers. The Pileated Woodpecker was also heard.
The next bird walk is the *Minto-Brown Island Park bird walk* on *Wednesday,
May 2nd at 7:00 AM*. Meet at Parking Lot #3 at the end of Minto Island
