Nothing unusual to report. Ontario sewage ponds were crammed with birds,
so many Buffleheads, Ring-necked and Ruddy Ducks. Notables:
3 Snow Geese
1 Greater White-fronted Goose
About 50 Eared Grebes, and again, no Horned.
3 Canvasbacks
No gulls, shorebirds, etc
Loads of zonotrichia sparrows around the SW corner in the weeds but
nothing unusual.
Vale Sewage Ponds
Access getting clarified, and it is far better than climbing the steep
embankment loaded with Russian Thistle. News on that after the next
trip.
Nothing unusual there, 3 Great Blue Herons, Coots, Canada Geese,
Mallards, Gadwall, and Shovelers etc.
Sites were ebirded. Next report in 2 weeks, hopefully with something
tantalizing! Judy Meredith, jmeredit@xxxxxxxxxxx
