Maybe this is old news but I saw four LONG-TAILED DUCKS, 2 male and 2
female , at Philomath Sewage Lagoons at 2 pm. They were in the middle pond at
the north shore, where the dike dividing the two north ponds makes a jct. They
moved slowly south across the pond, then back north as I repositioned my car.
An extremely large falcon proved to be a Peregrine. More on that
later maybe. I don't have a smart phone. Wish i could have posted this when
there was 2 1/2 hrs daylight remaining.
