Despite bumping into many birders, I am unaware of anyone finding the GYRF
today. For anyone chasing tomorrow, a variety of swallows are on the
Willamette at the SW corner of Irish Bend loop.

Another local pickup pulled up on me at Cartney Road. Concerned I was lost,
I filled him in on the chase, and he thought it was cool. Then I challenged
him. why does "Cartney Road" go to "McCartney Park". Other than his family
bought their land in 1910 from the McCartney's, he too has wondered why the
road is only Cartney. The town of Peoria was also founded on McCartney land.

Everybody,
Just wanted to add that make sure you extend your search along Malpass Rd
all the way north to at least Lake Creek Dr today. The February 2017 gyr
was found on Malpass Rd south of Lake Creek Dr about half a mile, it was
perched on the SW corner of the fence line along that road. Good hunting!
