Today terrific photos/video by Jay W,
including of it eating a very long grub at least 6 times the length of its bill.
Bird surprisingly easy for Courtney to find today, only took 4-min. ,
in mixed flock at far west of park ground, just west of bathrooms
along river in trees, up midway in tall conifers,
then lower in “evergreen huckleberry” (where got its worm), then up high again.
Seen well! By far best views I’ve had, this my 4th time here, and
first time I’ve seen the entire bird in one view.
Question: Is it becoming increasingly brighter yellow?"
