- Comments: "The Ruff was found about midday by Chuck Philo and was
located on the shoreline near the Nature Trail shelter. It was
observed actively foraging along the shoreline among the roosting
gulls during high tide and was the only shorebird at the site.
Foraging behavior: the Ruff walked hurriedly in a somewhat erratic
zigzag pattern while constantly stopping to probe the substrate. It
was last seen flying toward the vicinity of Idaho Point and then
appeared to land on the shoreline among roosting gulls. See Rachel and
