I saw 3 Lewis's Woodpeckers this morning in the northern part of Finley
NWR.  2 were at the refuge headquarters, where they flew north from the
maintenance area, one landing in a large oak west of the headquarters
building from which it was actively flycatcher.  The other flew north and
disappeared behind the trees.  The other Lewis's Woodpecker was being
chased overhead by an Acorn Woodpecker over the road near the Ray Bentley
Overlook.  Other birds of interest to this visiting Chicagoan were a
Townsend's and Black-throated Gray Warbler, 3 Red-breasted Sapsuckers, and
2 Lesser Goldfinches at the Headquarters.
