This is to simply get a few birds on the record that I and Anne recorded in
the last few days. I'm not attempting to list all the birds and all the
numbers, but some that to me seem significant or early.
Sunday 4/23 - Skinner Butte (Dan only)
Olive-sided Flycatcher (1) (Tom & Allison Mickel & Sylvia Maulding also
present)
Band-tailed Pigeon (2) Sylvia Maulding reported 20+ earlier in the morning.
I'm not sure if she reported on obol or not.
Delta Ponds (Dan only in the morning with Dennis Arendt): Vaux's Swift (1)
dowitcher sp. (25)
Sunday 4/23 - Delta Ponds (Dan & Anne)
Rough-winged Swallow (1)
Barn Swallow (1)
Vaux's Swift (1)
Cinnamon Teal - male (1)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (24 Audubon's & 1 Myrtle)
Tuesday 4/25 - Skinner Butte (Dan & Anne plus Barry McKenzie)
large-ish Accipiter - brownish overall with notched tail. Fairly quick
wingbeat. Impression was female Sharp-shinned, but it landed partially
obscured and flew off before better looks were had.
Good birding,
Dan Heyerly
