Took a trip to Lake County in southern Oregon yesterday and I thought you
might like to see some of the birds we saw (https://flic.kr/s/aHsmNMqTtH).
We visited Fort Rock, Cabin Lake, Winter Rim and Summer Lake. We found
about 87 species. The highlights are below. Enjoy!
1 Trumpeter Swan - Summer Lake
2 Golden Eagles - Fort Rock
10 Snowy Plovers - on the eastern edge of the Summer Lake Tour Loop
2 Red-necked Phalaropes - Summer Lake
4 Franklin's Gulls - Summer Lake
2 Bank Swallows - Anna Reservoir Summer Lake
1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - Winter Rim
Big miss - Prairie Falcon - I don't think they nested at Fort Rock this year
