OK, who volunteers to e-mail the author in Ohio and inform him that
amalgamating data over five Western-scale counties renders his analysis
meaningless?
To be fair, typical counties in Ohio are only 15 or 20 miles across, and in a
region where 100 ft of topographic relief qualifies as a destination for
downhill skiers. I feel like the editors of this journal let him down, on this
and a couple of other points. This should have been caught in the review stage.
