Went looking for possible storm birds in the Lower River Road/Fort Vannoy area.
Best find was an early CLIFF SWALLOW. My previous early bird was 20 March
1987 in the same area. Seen really well, in flight foraging just over the
water in a small pond about 25 feet from me. Buff-colored rump, dark rust
throat, pale patch behind upper bill.
Lots of Tree and Violet-greens around now, which it was foraging with..
