[obol] Jo Co Hooded Merganser with ducklings

Today (05/14/2013) in a backwater area near where US 199 (Redwood Highway)
meets the Applegate River was a hen HOODED MERGANSER with at least 6 ducklings.
A sight not often seen in the Grants Pass area. By the way, the highway
department has just started to replace the bridge at this location, so traffic
is one way (at a time) right now at least.
Also, 2 GREEN HERONS in flight within Grants Pass, near 4th St and Evelyn Ave.
Also, not an often seen sight.
