Last week Wednesday two adults were observed in attempts to gather branches
from the ash and cottonwood trees just south of the education building. On
Friday two adults were perched in and near the nest they have used for the last
3 years, in a black cottonwood at the north end of the Preserve, and the nest
was newly ornamented with green boughs of Douglas fir. It appears they are
setting up for another nesting season. Send your well wishes c/o Jackson
Bottom Wetlands Preserve and we will deliver them.
