Today (08-28-2013), along Hunt Lane (west of Grants Pass), in a short-grass field that was mostly shallowly flooded by irrigation water were about 200+ Swallows, which were foraging about 1-2 feet above the field. A WESTERN SANDPIPER was attempting to forage like one of the Swallows, circling around going back and forth at the same height above the field as the Swallow. Looked like one of the Swallows. Anyone every see them forage like this before? Dennis (north of Grants Pass)
