Hello, This morning (5/17/2020) went to Lake Selmac (Illinois
Valley, Josephine County). No luck relocating the 15 White-faced
Ibis that Tanner Martin found there the previous evening.
Visited the nearby site on Reeves Creek Road where (probable) nesting
Purple Martins were located last season and again this season and saw
a minimum of
3.

Next stop was the Green Bridge over the Illinois River adjacent to
Q-Bar-X Ranch (Finch Road). Just upstream from the bridge, a
Red-Necked Phalarope was feeding in characteristic style on the
river. It flew away after about 10 minutes.

At the historic Bald Eagle Nest on Martin Rd. (off Rockydale Rd.),
still 2 young eagles there and an Adult perched in a nearby
tree. The friskier of the 2 eaglets was hopping and flapping wings
on the edge of the
nest.
