This last week in my edge of Dallas OR place, I have been hearing a bird
that sounds a lot like the "what-cheer" or "wheat-ear" call of the
cardinal. I doubt that it is that, but what then?
Linda Fink suggested it might be a Bewick's wren, but it didn't exactly
match that.at the Cornell site.
It repeats that call two or three times.
