We (Doug Robinson, Brandon Wagner, and myself) all saw Tim's bird later in the day. We were able to see it lift it's wing to preen and then saw it briefly fly when some hormonal Canada Geese got a little carried away. The underwings were black/dark and the eyebrow was indeed prominent. We agreed that Tim's ID of Hudsonian was accurate. Also, a pair of noisy Black-necked Stilts were actively defending their nesting territory near the Hwy 22 overlook. The offending trespassers included Mallards and Turkey Vultures. Also present were many Red-necked Phalaropes (in alternate and basic), Wilson's Phalaropes, several Semi-palmated plovers, two alternate Dunlin, six Western Sandpipers, a few dozen LB Dows, and a lone and distant Solitary Sandpiper. It all made for a very nice shorebirding day.
