Harry was a Good Guy. We met way back when I went to work for OMSI in the
'60's. He was running the local Audubon stuff back in those days and
welcomed me into it all like a lost Little Brother.

the go to person for information. He was the voice of the rare bird alert.
His knowledge seemed to be encyclopedic and his quiet enthusiasm for
birding was infectious. I was amazed that he was willing to spend a
significant amount of time on the phone sharing his knowledge.
Henry was always kind, patient and willing to help. His humbleness
impressed me. He was always a gentleman. Oregon birders benefited greatly
from his presence and his legacy should not be forgotten.
