Hi all,
I had an amazing walk on the spit beach - watching a pair of Bald Eagles do
their talon locking and falling over the surf line in the dawn sunlight.
Then more eagles appeared and a true conspiracy of ravens (14!). No Snowy
Plovers today, but I didn't walk the whole length - they may still be
around. Then just west of the state park boat launch - along the spur road
going to the boat launch - there was a bunch of sparrows as usual and I
heard the 2 whistles on the same note - partial song of a Harris's
Sparrow. This got my attention. After awhile I was able to see it cross
the road and get a quick visual to confirm this id before it disappeared in
the broom.
Good birding,
Beverly
