Kai Williams and I did the Harrisburg-Coburg raptor route today, Monday 18
Jan 2016.
The temperature ranged from the upper 40s to low 50s.
We started the day in sunshine. The sky became cloudy about half way
through the survey,
but rain did not appear until about a half hour after we had finished.
Probably due to the holiday, traffic was relatively light.
We spent 4 hours and 20 minutes on the route, starting at 10:13 a.m.
Compared to January 2015, Bald Eagles were present in close to the same
numbers,
but American Kestrel and Red-tailed Hawk populations were about half of
what they were in 2015.

12 Red-tailed Hawk
20 American Kestrel
2 Northern Harrier
12 Bald Eagle (9 adults, 3 immatures)
1 Rough-legged Hawk
1 Sharp-shinned Hawk
