Bill, I checked BNA and found this:
"Short-distance, partial migrant. Winters throughout most of the breeding
range, but vacates northern-most breeding sites. Apparently migratory on
the leading edge of range expansion, but quickly may become resident."
Looks like Oregon is northern-most breeding area (they nest in Medford
area).
