At 4:30 pm today, a flock of 157 Gr. White-fronted Geese went over east of
town, about 1 mile high, heading towards the N.W. Three days ago, 40 went by,
flying low. These are the first two flocks I've seen here in the Spring, since
two years ago, when many tens of thousands of them went over. They seem to
change their routes every year, depending on wind patterns.
