Jack Presley and Jim Hill and I looked for the great birds that have been
reported from Tillamook lately (the Oregon Coast is where its at in winter,
for birding)
A CATTLE EGRET was right alongside us near the Cheese Factory. Beside Tone
Road a LARK SPARROW and CLAY-COLORED SPARROW showed up right on time. 35
or more of BLACK TURNSTONES and a very uncommon to rarish RUDDY TURNSTONE
were hopping around on oyster shell piles and trucks and Hysters at the
oyster plant. The tide was high
A HARRIS'S SPARROW popped up briefly a few times, and Jack saw a DICKCISSEL
for less than a second. Jim spotted a BLACK PHOEBE.
