While at Coos Bay North Spit today a large bird lumbered over the Snowy Plover nesting area. It caught our eyes......and turned out to be a SANDHILL CRANE flying east to west heading towards the ocean and jetty. Wonder where it was going. Anyhow that's a first for us - we have never seen a Crane at CBNS.
