The Humboldt County, CA BLACK VULTURE was relocated today, 2/21/14 (Ferndale area) (according to nwcalbird) and viewed by many individuals. There's one previous Hubdt record from 1993 into 1994 that I'm aware of (Northwest CA Birds - Stan Harris).

I grabbed the camera and got off a few shots before it continued to ride the wind current S/SE near Grizzly Bluff Rd and lost sight of it.. I know that there are always Turkey Vultures present around the ridge along Grizzly Bluff Rd., that might be the best chance..
