Still there, has also been feeding around a couple of willows. Martha and I just went back out and had some good looks. Another good bird for the "heard while shooting hoops in the back yard" list -- Palm Warbler is on that one too. -------- Forwarded Message -------- From: Joel Geier <joel.geier@xxxxxxxx> Reply-to: joel.geier@xxxxxxxx To: MidValley Birds <birding@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, Mid-Valley Nature <mid-valley-nature@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [birding] Blue-gray Gnatcatcher near E.E. Wilson Date: Sun, 04 May 2014 11:16:59 -0700 Hi all, Just now while shooting some hoops in our backyard, I heard a funny little buzzy "mew" call along our south fenceline. There was a BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, feeding around a Douglas/hybrid hawthorn that's blooming. Would like to think it was drawn in by the Ceanothus bush which is also blooming, but still awfully small. Location is 1/4 mile south of Camp Adair Rd., west side of Hwy 99W. I will be gone from 11:45 to 12:45. Happy birding, Joel -- Joel Geier Camp Adair area north of Corvallis _______________________________________________ birding mailing list birding@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://midvalleybirding.org/mailman/listinfo/birding
