Hi all,

Some birds found around Linn County yesterday (27 Nov) according to
today's e-Bird report included:

1 SAY'S PHOEBES reported by Roy Gerig at the "first two houses west of
the north end of Davis Rd. (about 4 miles SSW of Tangent)

2 to 3 LAPLAND LONGSPURS reported by Isaac Denzer, Will Wright, and
Dave Irons, plus 1 CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR heard by Dave Irons and
Shawneen Finnegan (maybe also seen by Shawneen?), at the same location
where Randy Moore reported these with a large flock of Horned Larks the
previous day (field bounded by Seward, McLagan, and Country Rd about 2
miles ESE of Tangent).

Estimates of the numbers of HORNED LARKS varied but were generally over
160, so still large numbers. I didn't find any notes on the Horned Larks
in the eBird reports, but hopefully folks who visit this patch in future
days can continue to look for banded larks as well as signs of disease.
Still great weather out there for scoping.

Happy birding,
Joel
