On Wed I counted 50 Great Egrets in a  pasture on the N side of Arndt Rd,
Clackamas Co.  This is just before Arndt meets Knights Bridge at a
stoplight about 2 mi W of Canby.  The flock was loafing close to the road,
strung out along the banks of a water filled ditch leading away from the
road thru the pasture.

A friend alerted me to the presence of the flock about 2hrs earlier.  She
estimated dozens.  On her drive past they had been in flooded corn stubble
on the N side of Knights Bridge about half a mile away.  She had seen the
flock in that field since Sun.  Over the course of the past 3-4 yrs she has
also reported seeing single egrets in that field from time to time.

From his description of location this may have been where Bob O' Brien
reported seeing 17 Great Egrets on Mar 18 to begin this thread.
