It was brought to my attention that this news didn't make it out to all
of the Oregon birders who knew Kathy -- apparently this only went out to
the Lincoln County and Mid-valley birding list. My deep apologies for
the abrupt way that this news came to some of you.

Subject: [LCBNO] Passing of Kathy Merrifield
Hi,
Kathy Merrifield, who often birded in Lincoln County since the 1990s
and shared her notes as well as writing field note columns for the
Yaquina Birders & Naturalists newsletter about birds during 2001-2003
and Other Nature Notes from 2001 to the present passed away yesterday
after many years of dealing with cancer with grace and humor.
Below is her obit; an outdoor celebration of life is being planned,
but has yet to be arranged. More information and thoughts later.
