Folks,

I agree with Wayne Hoffman's reducing the choices to Red-tail or Swainson's.
I'm notoriously inept at birding-by-photo, but...

In image 3294 I see:
- a uniform, soft brown head and breast and a darker belly
-  a hint of a white chin
- a hint of a banded tail

I'd guess this is a dark phase Swainson's Hawk.

Problem: the bill looks big and I don't see a yellow cere.

Hi Dave,
I was told you are the guy to contact if I have photos to post for an
OBOL listing. I do not have a Flickr site and am not really familiar
with putting photos online, so I was hoping you could put them up for
me. They are not the best photos, but I was hoping someone might help me
identify this dark buteo. We saw it in Klamath Falls in late April. Let
me know if you need these in a different format or size or something...
