The responses below came from Cornell regarding photos in the Macaulay
Library.
There will soon be the ability for crowd-sourced identifications and/or
comments on photos in their library,
which will be especially useful for identification as to age class.
This is yet another great function in Cornell's contributions to
ornithology/birding.

Thanks for this Chris. You might want to let your friends/correspondents
know that ML currently has a crowd sourcing feature that allows us to add
information to the metadata associated with a photograph (and also audio
recordings). Right now it is very limited — mainly used to add “quality
ratings” to photos/recordings. but as we work out the kinks, we plan to
expand so that additional data, like age and sex, can be added. These would
be crowd-sourced so that errors can be caught, etc. We are excited to see
this coming on the horizon!
