I spent a great morning birding with the Quadruple H's - Herlyn Harper Hinkle & Hinkle. Highlights below: FORSTER'S TERN - 3, well seen foraging west of the platform with many Black Terns Clark's Grebe - 6 or more along with many Western GRASSHOPPER SPARROW - 1 singing north of parking lot Yellow-headed Blackbird - 3 males Purple Martin - many BONAPARTE'S GULL - 1, swimming, viewed from dike running southwest from platform Peregrine Falcon - 1 Wilson's Phalarope - 6 or more BLACK-NECKED STILT - 3, at least AMERICAN AVOCET - 2, barn pond Greater Yellowlegs - 1 BLUE-WINGED TEAL - 2 males, one in barn pond Redhead - many more than usual Willow Flycatcher - 2 Yellow-breasted Chat - 1, heard only Black-bellied Plover - 1 Good birding!
