Hello All,
Vickie Buck and I had a good morning Birding the Fisher Unit with Jenna Curtis,
Jesse Laney and Carolyn Coyle. Thanks to the Corvallis team for pointing out 2
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS out on the expansive dry mudflats. The continuing
sub-adult STILT SANDPIPER gave us good looks along the edges of the remaining
water in Pond #6. At least 6 BAIRD’S SANDPIPERS were seen in both pond #6 and
the south end of Pond #5. A few SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS were among the many
LONG-BILLED. A single BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON and BONAPARTE’S GULL were seen.
Habitat continues to be excellent in the area, attracting good numbers of
birds.
Full list can be seen on my eBird report.
