A few minutes ago, I heard the wing trill of a male Selasphorus hummer
outside my office window. This is roughly about the time of year that I
first see or hear a male Rufous in my yard.
While biking along the north bank of the Willamette yesterday, just east of
Alton Baker Park, I spotted a RING-NECKED PHEASANT. I realize that
introduced individuals are around, but I didn't expect one there.
