Very fascinating sequence of photos.
Is there a guess of the species of snake?  Quite a good-sized one, possibly
approaching 2 1/2 to 3 feet In length.  Also seems quite unusual for the
snake to be active in early February, even with the pleasant temperatures.
But I'm no herpitologist.
