We've had 4 very early Swainson's Hawk reports from Central Oregon this
March. I'm trying to track down details on them. Before this year, we
only had one March record for Swainson's. The last one was below:
Ring-necked Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) (1)
- Reported Mar 19, 2016 07:33 by Peter Kappes
- US-OR-Sisters-Deschutes National Forest - 44.3860x-121.6641, Deschutes, Oregon
-
Map:http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=44.385967,-121.664119&ll=44.385967,-121.664119
- Checklist:http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S28510545
- Comments: "Shape, tail, and head were pheasant like. Long tail, green neck and
head with a white neck ring and a red eye patch."
If anyone knows how to contact Peter Kappes, would you please ask him to
contact me?
