Eagles of Oregon - Watching Them Watch Us Watch Them

Oregon has abundant habitat for both bald and golden eagles throughout the
year. The nesting population of bald eagles in Oregon has increased
substantially since the 1970’s, and the golden eagle nesting population appears
to have been relatively stable since 2011. Frank Isaacs will provide
introductory comments on the history and current status of both species in
Oregon and discuss the similarities and differences between bald and golden
eagles, including tips on identification and aging. Presenter: Frank Isaacs
worked on bald eagle research at OSU for 31 years, and has led the statewide
golden eagle nest survey for the past 9 years for Oregon Eagle Foundation. He
is a co-founder of the Oregon Eagle Foundation and served a term as chairman of
the Bald Eagle Working Team for Oregon and Washington. Frank has received
numerous awards for his leadership in wildlife conservation and protection of
