Walking home on SE Madison at 35th St. in Portland I heard EVENING GROSBEAKS
calling overhead and saw a flock of a half dozen land in a tall fir tree.
Didn’t have binoculars, but the clear and trilled calls were unmistakable.
Don’t get them much around here!
